J. Ross Ramsey, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Associate at the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research. With expertise in advanced statistical modeling and data-driven evaluation, Ross’ work supports the design, implementation, and assessment of the NC Community Colleges Boost Program. The primary focus of his work lies in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that inform decision-making and enhance program outcomes. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to taking on a role at Belk Center, Ross served as an educator in a variety of formal and informal learning settings, including as a science programs coordinator, a high school math teacher, and an instructor for undergraduate teacher-training programs.
