Bio

Helena Calzada, M.A., is a Program Assistant at the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research. In this role, she supports the Belk Center’s leadership team and the center’s internal operations. Originally from Spain, Helena received her B.A. in East Asian Studies with a concentration in Korean Studies from the University of Málaga (Spain 2022) and her Master of International Studies from NC State University (2025). Prior to joining the Belk Center, Helena worked at the Global Training Initiative and NC State’s School of Public and International Affairs, where she developed her passion for higher education administration and intercultural communication.
