Bio

Dr. Shelley White, Ed.D., became the seventh president of Haywood Community College in 2020. Dr. White is a proud graduate of Isothermal Community College and was named NC Community College System President of the Year in 2025. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University, and her master’s and doctorate degrees from Western Carolina University.
