Bio

Dr. Jason Hurst became the third president of Cleveland Community College on April 2, 2018. Before coming to Cleveland CC, he spent nearly 25 years in higher education, including as Senior Director of Workforce Development for the Alabama Community College System. A native of Alabama, Dr. Hurst began his career in the manufacturing industry and earned an Associate in Applied Science in Machine Tool Technology from Ayers State Technical College. He later received bachelor’s degree at Athens State University, his master’s degree from Auburn University, and his Ph.D. in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University.
