Great in 8 Community of Practice

The ‘Great in 8‘ Community of Practice brings together NC community colleges actively designing, implementing, and scaling accelerated term models. Participating colleges collaborate with peers, apply data to guide decision-making, and test practical strategies that strengthen accelerated pathways and support student success. This CoP fosters mutual support and knowledge sharing through intentional mentor-mentee pairings that connect colleges across different stages of implementation.

Topics and themes covered include: data literacy, communication, external stakeholder engagement and buy-in, and faculty and staff support.

ReconnectEd

ReConnectEd is a community of practice designed to convene NC Reconnect community college leaders and practitioners to share knowledge, strategies, resources, and best practices focused on adult learners in continuing education and workforce development programs. Over the course of a year, participating NC Reconnect colleges will leverage research and adult learning best practices to align college systems, policies, and instructional strategies in continuing education and workforce development in ways that advance adult learner success.

Session themes include: Funding, Faculty Development, Marketing and Communications, and Data tracking.
