The 2023-2024 year marks the fifth year of the Belk Center and, while much has grown and changed over the years, our commitments have remained the same. During the last 12 months, we have published findings from our four Teaching and Learning Hubs, developed a five-point conceptual framework to increase adult learner enrollment and completion rates at community colleges, expanded our programming to support rural communities in North Carolina, and so much more.

Over the past year, we have engaged with community colleges through our commitments to leadership and learning, research and insights, and partnerships
and convenings.

With eyes fixed on our mission at the Belk Center, we have seized every opportunity to advance it. In the past 12 months, we have expanded our focus on teaching and learning—both in research and practice—pursued opportunities to invest in new community college presidents, created spaces to identify and respond to emerging issues, and enhanced our support of emerging leaders enrolled in NC State’s Community College Leadership doctoral program.
