Community College leaders are developing questions about how academic programs can best serve their communities after taking a deep dive into data at the second Presidents’ Academy event hosted by the NC State College of Education’s Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research.
Dec. 3 | Dallas Herring Lecture
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN | NC State honors the legacy of Dallas Herring, a pillar of the North Carolina Community College system, by hosting the annual Dallas Herring Lecture. It invites top community college leaders to speak on urgent and emerging topics, framing how to address the issues and proposing a path forward. This year's speaker is Dr. Sanford “Sandy” Shugart, who has served since 2000 as the fourth president of Valencia College in greater Orlando, Florida. Dr. Shugart will be speaking on “Ecosystem Thinking in Higher Education: The Future of Transfer.”
