Dr. William (Bill) S. Carver has been with Nash Community College since 1987. He has held several positions, including Dean of Continuing Education, before being promoted to Vice President of Instruction in 1998 assuming responsibilities for credit and non-credit instructional programs. He completed the Harvard Institute for Educational Management and the Seminar for Experienced Presidents, a summer program offered annually to 100 higher education administrators. Dr. Carver was selected by the Board of Trustees in July 2005 as the College’s fourth President. A native of Durham, he received his undergraduate degree in Economics from North Carolina State University, M.B.A. from Campbell University, and his Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
