Dr. Randy Parker is President of Guilford Technical Community College, the third largest community college in North Carolina, serving over 40,000 students annually and recognized nationally for its work in student success and economic and work force development. Before taking the Presidency at GTCC in 2011, Dr. Parker was President at Vance-Granville Community College in Henderson, N.C. from 2004-2011. Dr. Parker began his community college career as a General Engineering Instructor at Lenoir Community College in Kinston, NC. He received a doctorate in higher education administration from NC State University. He is the 2012 recipient of The I. E. Ready Distinguished Graduate Award for Leadership Excellence in Adult and Community College Education from the College of Education at NC State University.
