Dr. Lisa M. Chapman has been in the North Carolina Community College System for twenty-eight years. She currently serves as the System Senior Vice President for Programs and Student Services/Chief Academic Officer. Prior to her current role, Chapman was the Executive Vice President for Instruction/Chief Academic Officer at Central Carolina Community College, overseeing all instruction as well as recruiting and academic learning support services. Her tenure at Central Carolina included serving as a biology instructor, math and sciences department chair, and an academic dean. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from UNC-Chapel Hill, Master of Science in Physiology from East Tennessee State University, and Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC-Chapel Hill.
