Dr. Dale McInnis, President of Richmond Community College and a life-long resident of North Carolina, completed a bachelor’s degree in business management from UNCP. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Campbell University and his doctorate in higher education administration from NC State University.
Dr. McInnis began his career as a business instructor with Montgomery Community College, where he became Vice President of Administrative Services. In 2001, he became the Vice President of Administrative Services at South Piedmont Community College. He joined Richmond Community College in 2002 and became President in 2010.
Dr. McInnis has served as chair of the NC Association of Community College Presidents Finance Committee. He also serves on numerous local boards.
