Jess Bank, MPA (she/they) is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University and works as a Research Associate at the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research. They have nearly a decade of experience in higher education in direct service as well as program management and development. She is a first-year student in the Higher Education Opportunity, Equity, and Justice program. Their research interests include university administered professional development programs for students marginalized for their race, gender, sexuality, and class identities. As a Research Associate at the Belk Center she aids community college executive leadership to achieve higher levels of student success through various programs including the PACE Climate Survey. Jess earned their Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Mathematics concentration from California State University, Northridge and a Master of Public Administration with a Public Service Management emphasis from San Francisco State University.
